The entrance of the great pyramid is in
the northern side and this give him the
trait of being under the protection of the
polar star which isn’t away from the northern horizon. King khofo is lying in his
tomb believing that this star gives enternality and continuity to the soul of the king as
well as the balsam of the pure north.
This entrance is about 15m high from its base and up on it there are some ancient writing and marks.
This entrance had been closed forever after giving the outer
side of the
pyramid
a garment of stones. This entrance leads to a pathway about 1m height and of the same
wide. If you go into this pathway for about 20m you will find a well leading to the under
ground and then to along path way till you find a room under the pyramid this room had
been built to be the design of this pyramid had change twice.
By the end of this way we find a huge block of the red
gerante which prevents anyone from entering the pyramid. Here a step starts (This step has
recently been built) and leads you to a narrow pathway (which also has a wooden step) over
which you walk slowly till you arrive at a big lounge. If you looked at its surrounding
walls you would find that they are consisting from seven layers made from a stones each
one allows the appearance of the others be neath it. In front of you, you will find a
square open which will lead you to queen’s chamber. It is about 6m long and 5m wide.
Its roof has the shape of pyramid and on its eastern wall there is a gap for air. From the
big lounge you will find away leads to upstairs of 1m wide. This step leads to king’s
chamber then you will walk along a very narrow path till you arrive at the room of burial
which is 43.38m above the earth. It’s made from
gerante with a roof of
16m, 5m wide and 110m long. This room contains a grave box made from granite without
cover. The room has two gaps for air. Above king’s chamber there are five other rooms
rather smaller to lighten the pressure of building of the burial rooms. The upper one has
an edged-pyramid. The walls of the other tree room have some writing and carving written
in hieroglyphs, which are really the name of
the king.
