The ancient Egyptians believed that man will
be resurrected after death to live for ever. Man’s soul goes up to the sky in the
form of a bird. When the body is
sound after burying it, the soul returns
to it again. Therefore the ancient Egyptians paid attention to the preservation of bodies
through a process called mummification. They were very careful to bury the dead a long way
from water. To that, they laid the dead in protective graves with the necessary food,
drink and clothes to help the dead lead a happy life after resurrection. There ate some
