Their Strengths...

The Dreamcast

It exists.  It is within your grasp.  Unlike the Playstation 2, gamers can experience the Dreamcast, and thus can be won over by its amazing graphics.  When the North American release date arrives, a bunch of games of exceptional quality by first and third party developers will ensue, and gamers will not have to worry about a lack of software.  At about US$199, the Dreamcast will be relatively affordable, though it will have to contest with the current US$129 for the Playstation.  Another great strength of the Dreamcast's is its conventional hardware.  The Dreamcast will use a form of Windows CE, thus making it extremely easy for developers to create games for the console.  This ease of programming will certainly draw a number of new start-up developers to the Dreamcast as a low budget first project.

The Playstation 2

The Playstation 2 features incredible processing power, exceeding the capabilities of some graphic workstations costing over $10,000!  The revolutionary aspect of the console is its ability to combine all of its features in some single system.  With that kind of power, the Playstation 2 can look forward to be in the frontline of technological power for 2 to 4 years.  Also, Sony is a very respectable brand name, and will soon reach Nintendo's status in the gaming industry among non-gamers.  Sony's aggresive marketing will rake in the fans, and combined with the power of the machine, could open up new avenues of gameplay mechanisms never before made possible.

And of their Weaknesses?
