"I am passionately concerned about the world we live in. I am not cynical about our world, but I have high expectations of my self and the people that make my world. This passion for life and doing your best now, I believe is demonstrated in all my work through the amount of conceptual thinking, physical labour, and attention to detail. This giving of one self to what you are doing now is almost religious, for someone who is not religious in traditional way."

Being a parent and an artist has been one of the most inspiring challenges. The greatest joy and inspiration comes from the realisation that all we have in life is the love we can give. This understanding, makes one think more profoundly what one should call "art work", and how our outcomes will contribute or takeaway from our world. Consequently, all actions, including art works are given serious consideration.
Australia is a wonderful place to observe the passionate interaction caused by diverse social, economic, cultural, political, class and gender influences. Close scrutiny of our behaviour influenced by daily events in Australia and the world provide a well of inspiration.
The technologies available to practising artists today are huge. Often the most important decision is not the concept behind the work, but which is the most suitable medium to chose and with what skill can the artist optimise the medium.
