What is This Site About?
This site contains a collection of artwork from 10 different Artists along with interviews, gallery analysis rooms and interactive areas. The aim of this site is to give people an insight into how different artists think, what influences them and about their specific art form.
The Information Desk is the page you just left. From the information desk you can view the three different help pages (all aimed at a different audience). The General Help (this page) gives an outline of each section. The aim of this outline, is to give visitors an idea of what our site contains and to help them decide which section interests them the most.
The Teacher Help is aimed at teachers. It contains teacher worksheets and assignments as well as ideas on how they can use this site to its full potential in their lessons.
The Student help points out the areas of interest for students as well as the places they can go to learn about art. You can also go straight to the individual artists pages from the information desk.
From the Cafe you can read the interviews our team conducted with the different artists. You can also add your own comments to the interviews, and your ideas and questions you would like other users to answer. This will also give the artists themselves the opportunity to read the comments on their works and provide feedback to the site users.
The Artist Pages contain a statement from the artists about their work, a brief autobiography and a few of their influences. A full panarama of their studios can also be found at these pages and a link to their section in the main gallery.
This is where all our quizzes, probing questions and interesting site ideas are found. If you want to learn, or you want to teach you will end up here, either through the student help or the teacher help. This page will end up on your must go to list.
This page has been designed for people who want a bit of a laugh. It contains all our personal information (the creators of this site) as well as a few panoramas of our weekend workshops at Wilderness School.
This gallery is divided into sections containing different artists work. Each page has up to three quick loading images which can be enlarged by clicking on them. Every painting has a analysis done by either the artist or us (the creators of this site). You can read the analysis pages and add your own thoughts by clicking on the analysis button located under each picture.
The Virtual Gallery is a three dimensional world with the artworks from the artists featured on each wall. This Gallery will take a while to load (around a minuite with a cable connection) but they are well worth the wait.
From the Complimentary E-Card Shop you can create an electronic postcard and send it to your friends. The picture on the card can be selected from any picture in any gallery on our site.
