"My work is very much based
on an interest in language, and ideas of narrative: how we tell our
stories, how they evolve, how language affects us, and the
relationship between visual and written modes of expression. It
also has a lot to do with human fragility, as I observe the sudden
shock of a moment's divergence from an expected path, or see ageing
processes whittle away our tenuous connection with
