DULLSTROOM

The two sets of narrow dykes roughly midway between the towns Belfast and Dullstroom occured as the Dullstroom kimberlite, approximately 190 km east-northeast of Johannesburg. The De Beers company discovered them on middelpunt, Elandskloof,Elandsfontein, Roodekrans and Doornhoek.A company called Dullstroom Diamond Mines attempted to mine the kimberlite on Middelpunt and Roodekrans.Between 165 and 176 the kimberlite have been dated.
