PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM

-Is the part of nervous system  which is located  outside of the spinal cord and brain. It consists of  Ganglia of the Autonomic nervous system and nerves that lead to and from the  spinal cord  and brain. The Autonomic nervous system regulates various internal organs such as the intestine, and the  Autonomic nervous system is divided into Sympathetic and Parasympathetic.

SYMPATHETIC

-it releases noradrenalin as its neurotransmitter and produces largely involuntary responses related  to preparation  for  stressful situations. It mobilizes the body system during emergency.

PARASYMPATHETIC

-Is an Autonomic nervous system which focuses more on the relaxation after exertion  releases  acetylcholine as its neurotransmitter
