EXOCRINE GLANDS

Exocrine glands are those glands which secrete their hormones via the ducts, leading out-side the body or enzymes into the digestive system. These exocrine glands include mammary glands, sweat glands and also some which are found on the Liver and Pancreas.

The secretion cells of the Exocrine glands  surround the  beginning  of ducts. The secretion of the Exocrine glands  range from mostly water or complex mixtures of digestive enzymes. The kind of exocrine glands found on the pancreas synthesize  several digestive enzymes that are released into the pancreatic duct and flow into the small intestine.
