1. Sika Deer:  The Dybowski sika deer is a beautiful example of a group of animals found in South Africa, namely the deer.  The stag sheds his antlers in autumn, but it grows  back in the spring.

2. Addra gazelle:  The Addra gazelle is closely related to the mhorr gazelle, which may be seen at the Lichtenburg Breeding centre.  The addra  has a much lighter colour than the mhorr.  Zoo breeding programmes are essential to save these highly endangered animals from extinction. 

3. Scimitar-horned oryx: This oryx is related to the South African indigenous gemsbok.  The white colour of this animal is an adaption to the hot climate of the semi-desert regions it inhabits
