2. Exotic and Indigenous Fauna:

Pere David's  deer and pygmy hippopotamus are housed in the wetland area, while large herds of impala, springbok, zebra, blesbok and

hartebeest roam vast  grassland   area.  The endangered     addax, mhorr gazelle and scimitar- horned and Arabian oryx can  also   be seen.

 

 

 

 

 

3. Birdlife:

Approximately 32 hectares of the wetland area at the centre has been developed into a system of dams and pans which serves as a natural haven for thousands of waterbirds

               

4. Flora:

The game breeding centre, which covers an area of 6000 hectares, consists mainly of grassland.  Typical trees of the area include acacias, white stinkwood and the well-known raisin bush.
