Exotic and Indigenous Fauna:
Pere David's deer and pygmy hippopotamus are housed in the wetland area, while large herds of impala, springbok, zebra, blesbok and |
hartebeest roam vast
grassland area.
The endangered addax, mhorr gazelle and
scimitar- horned and Arabian oryx can also be seen.

3. Birdlife: Approximately 32 hectares of the wetland area at the centre has been developed into a system of dams and pans which serves as a natural haven for thousands of waterbirds |

4. Flora:
The game breeding centre, which covers an area of 6000 hectares, consists mainly of grassland. Typical trees of the area include acacias, white stinkwood and the well-known raisin bush.
