electromagnetic spectrum Radiation emitted by electrons as they drop their orbits around an atom.
wavelength The distance between adjacent crests or troughs. ( l )
speed The rate which in the crests or troughs move foward. ( v )
period The time that passes by between passing crests or troughs. ( T )
frequency The number of crests or troughs that pass by in one unit of time. ( f )
ray A line of light originating from a source that always intersects the waves at right angles.
