The lens is very similar to the cornea. It passes light on to the retina. It receives light coming in from the cornea. If the lens or cornea do not function properly, glasses or surgery will be needed. But, the lens is different from the cornea because of its ability to change shape. This allows you to focus. If you lens is stiff, you have Presbyopia
