How does the eye work?

The many parts of the eye work together to transform light rays passing through your pupil into information that your brain can interpret. The final result is an awareness of the objects around you based on the thin band of the electromagnetic spectrum that we call visible light. Before the light gets anywhere near the eye, it bounces off objects and determines its color and brightness. To find out more about how the eye receives light, click the picture.
