My name is Connie Natvig Minnes. I really enjoy teaching middle school students. I have completed my thirty-first year of teaching. I have been teaching at Urbana Middle School since 1971. I have taught physical education, health, and reading. My education is never completed, but I have gotten degrees from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My hobbies are Yorkshire Terrier dogs, sewing, reading, antique furniture, and loon and sheep collectibles. If offered the opportunity to travel, I would in a heartbeat. I have seen much of the United States, some of Mexico and Canada, and have traveled to Europe three times. My favorite form of relaxation is sitting on a northern beach, in a boat, or in a cabin listening to the loons on the lake. My husband, also a teacher, and I have two sons who are students at Urbana High School.
