Re: Hi, i need some info on my assignment

To the best of my knowledge, there is not enough direct evidence to show whether Africanus, or Afarensis split into the Robust Australopithecine and Homo lines. It is believed that the first human ancestor to use stone tools was a species named Australopithecus Garghi, recent evedence shows that it could be the species of Australopithecine which directly gave rise to the home line, or closely related to it. Indirect evidence shows that it was using stone tools to butcher animals around 2.5 million years ago. Conclusive evidence shows that Homo Habilis and Homo Ergaster used stone tools for sure, they came a little later. Homo Ergaster is thought to show the earliest evidence of using fire, the next species after that, Homo Erectus, has been proven to use fire. Sapiens and Neanderthals were thought to have split off from a common ancestor called Homo Heidelbergensis 400,000 to 600,000 years ago. They are cousin species. Neanderthals gave rise in europe and asia while Homo gave rise in Africa
