A true soccer hero, Juergen Klinsmann may be one of the greatest Germans ever to play the beautiful game. Born on July 30, 1964 in Goppingen, Germany, Juergen has been a key component to the German national team - as well as to every club for which he has ever played. In the latter part of his illustrious career, he was the captain of the German national team, and was crucial in the 1990 World Cup and Euro 96. Juergen retired from soccer after World Cup 98, finishing at the top of his game with 3 goals in the competition. Only 3 players have ever scored more than his 11 goals in World Cup competition, with only some of soccer's very best players edging him out!
