Antihydrogen- this is the antimatter version of hydrogen. The charges on all of the protons and electrons are reversed, so a proton has a negative charge and the electron has a positive charge. This form of hydrogen does not occur naturally on Earth.
Core Breach- this highly dangerous situation occurs when the engine core has sustained complete, irreparable, of rapid damage to one or more parts of the warp propulsion system, such that the ship can no longer safely sustain matter/antimatter reactions. i.e. damage threatens the structural integrity field system around the core such that retention of the core becomes hazardous to the safety of the crew and the ship.
Deuterium- an isotope of hydrogen with a neutron. As opposed to normal hydrogen which has no neutrons.
Planck Scale- 3.9 x 10-33 cm.
Planck Time- the smallest measurable unit of time. 1.3 x 10-43 seconds.
Subspace- the alternate region of space that starships pass through while travelling at superluminal speeds.
Superluminal- faster than light speed.
