Areas of the World
The environments of the different regions of the world vary incredibly.  Levels of economic development, unique culture, and the political situation within each region all impact the environment.  These areas of the world also have distinct histories that help to account for present-day environmental differences.

Covered in this section are Africa, Eastern Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, North America, and Western Asia.

Regional Issues
Among the issues discussed for each part of the world are biodiversity, marine environments, urban areas, industrial processes, and more.  Resources discussed here include forests, land and water.  The factors that influence the environment are economic, environmental, political, and social.  Each region is searching for solutions to its environmental problems, and is involved in regional and national projects aimed at protecting the environment through cooperation.

There are a total of 65 Articles in this section.  The articles cover those issues that are most important topics for each region.
