The above table compares the amount of forest that was destroyed by wildfires and the amount of
forest that was replanted in each of the years listed above in the United States. The figures given are in millions of acres of trees.
Perhaps the most obvious trend is the general decline in the amount of
destruction of forested areas by wildfires.
Also notable is the fact that the government is beginning a greater reforestation effort. This can probably be attributed to increased environmental awareness and public pressure.
