The above table shows how consumers feel about buying goods that are recyclable.  The survey asked consumers whether or not they purchase goods that come in recyclable packaging, and gave them the four options listed in the table.

The figures shown above are the percentages on consumers who chose each option.  Data is given for 1986 and 1989, showing a change over time.

It appears that the change over the three years was a positive one, as consumers in 1989 expressed a greater willingness to buy goods with recyclable packaging.

The number of people who said they often buy goods with recyclable packaging, meaning that recyclable packaging is probably something they look for when making purchases, nearly doubled over these three years.
