Scientific Concepts
Environmental science is a broad field that explores many aspects of nature.  Some of the important topics include Ecosystems, Energy, Environmental Processes, Measuring the Environment, and Natural Resources.

Within each of these categories are many subtopics.  This section contains a total of 50 Articles on topics ranging from Tropical Rain Forests to Nuclear Fusion.

Other Features
There is a
Discussion Forum specifically for discussion of environmental science.  Students, teachers, and professionals are all welcome to submit questions and discuss topics of their choice.

Energy Matters – Links and information for a variety of energy sources.

National Resources Defense Council – NRDC protects the earth's natural resources.  Their site provides a magazine and information on natural resources around the world.

The Wild Habitat – This site has information about several types of ecosystems.  The site was developed for ThinkQuest.

Under the Sea – A ThinkQuest web site that tells about the different animals that live in ocean ecosystems, from whales to crabs.

The Octopus's Garden – This ThinkQuest site explores several aspects of marine environments.  You can also follow the life of a marine animal.

Nature and Technology – This web site was created for ThinkQuest and tells about how technology is shaping and changing the environment.
