The Wild Ones is an organization consisting mainly of students and their teachers.  Founded in August 1995, the organization now has a membership of over 20,000 in 26 countries throughout the world.

The group was created under a project by Wildlife Preservation Trust International.  To decide how to create the new organization for children, the parent organization did extensive research on environmental education, questioning both teachers and scientists.

Members of the organization receive a publication called The Wild Times.  The members are also able to share their research, observations, and creative work with others around the globe.

Current projects of the Wild Ones include studying animal behavior, zoos, and birds, monitoring the environment, and sharing artwork.
