In addition to this suggested curriculum, there are a variety of Lesson Plans available.

The following are only recommendations.  We recommend that you use certain sections, choose a certain number of articles for each section that you cover, and spend a certain amount of time on each section.

At the middle school level, it is important to keep students interested and to make sure that learning is enjoyable.  Many possibilities for interactive features are available in the Special Features section.

Some of these topics will also require a significant amount of explanation.  For example, some students might have difficulty understanding some of the more complicated scientific concepts.

It would be impossible to make recommendations on grading procedures.  You might want to try taking the tests for the section you cover yourself or base grades on how well your class does as a whole.

Sections:
Current Events, Environmental Problems, History, People, and Science.

Number of articles per section:
10.

Number of articles per week:
5-10.
