David is a high school student in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.  This is his second year competing in the ThinkQuest contest, and he plans to participate again.

Last year, David worked with two other students to create "The Cuban Experience."  To research the topic, David traveled to Cuba with his teammate Jacob.  In the end, the site contained nearly 500 pages and became the leading references on Cuba available online.  The team won first place in the Social Sciences division of the ThinkQuest contest.

After winning, David and Jacob used the money ThinkQuest gave their school to found the Student Exchange between Cuba and America, Inc .  The organization is working to establish student exchange programs between Cuba and the United States for the first time in the four decades since the Cuban Revolution.  The group hopes to build people-to-people ties between students to improve relations between the two countries.

David, the President of SECA, and Jacob, the Vice-President, led a group to Camagüey, Cuba, Madison's Sister City, during August last summer to set up the program.  The two also discussed the project with Fernando Remirez de Estenoz, the Chief of the Cuban Interests Section and former Ambassador to the United Nations.

He also is the CEO and Chairman of Internet Consulting , an international Internet consulting firm. The company's primary activity is designing web sites for businesses and nonprofit groups. It has an international clientele from a wide range of fields.

Next year, David plans to enter the ThinkQuest contest again.  He has no topic or team in mind as of yet and is open to suggestions from other participants.
