This year was the first time that Mindy coached a team in the ThinkQuest contest.

Coming from Madison, Wisconsin, she had heard a great deal about the contest because of previous winning teams that came from the city.  She was eager to join the team, especially when she learned that the topic was going to be environmental issues.

Mindy works for the Wisconsin Federation of Teachers in Madison.

Mindy also plays the clarinet in a Madison orchestra and in several smaller groups of musicians as well.

Next year, Mindy hopes to coach another ThinkQuest team.  She will probably work with one of the students on the team this year again.
