Welcome to The Henry Whitfield State Historical Museum
Begun in 1639, The Henry Whitfield house, which is located on
Old Whitfield Street in Guilford, Connecticut, is the oldest standing
stone house in New England. The museum displays historical artifacts
from the culture of early New England settlers.

This site offers interactive tours of this historic stone house. The Henry Whitfield House Museum has a wealth of artifacts and pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries. The first tour is an interactive, javascript-driven interface which allows visitors to explore the exhibits, and navigate the house. The second tour offers digital-video walk-throughs of the house, narrated by Mike McBride, the museum's curator. |
