In Africa, there are many cultures. The tribes rely on the witch doctor. The witch doctor is the magic maker of their society. Each society's witch doctor have their own ways of telling the future, casting spells, divining, and healing patients. Art has an importance in magic in Africa. Some objects are believed to be spirits or gods. Masks are representations of supernatural spirits. In rituals or ceremonies, are is used to represent someone that the statue owner wants to put a spell on, for example, a voodoo doll.
