The 1992 Player of the Year was Christian Laettner from Duke University.  Laettner was born August 17, 1969 in Angola, New York.  Laettner is a 6'11, 245 pound forward from prestigious Nichols High School.  The awards that Laettner recieved were National Player of the Year and the Naismith award.  Laettner was selected the tenth overall draft pick by the Atlanta Hawks.
