The 1984 Player of the Year was Micheal Jordan from the University of North Carolina.  Jordan was born February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York.  Jordan is a 6'6 202 pound guard. He played for Laney High School class of 1984.  The awards Jordan recieved were National Player of the Year, ACC Rookie of the Year, Sporting News National Player of the Year.  He was the first overall draft pick in the 1984 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls.
