He is a 6'11 225 pound forward from Hartford Public High School. The awards that he received are the National Collegiate Player of the Year, Naismith award, and the National Association of Coaches Player of the Year. He was drafted first overall by the Raptors and then traded to the New York Knicks for Charles Oakley.
