Using GeoNet Minnesota Maps

Thank you for exploring our map archives! We currently have over 300 maps dealing with Minnesota, Montana, Virginia, the United States, and World topics. We are expanding rapidly and plan to include maps from 50 states in our digital atlas as early as Spring 1997. All of our maps are in GIF format for easy loading and viewing with Internet browsers. We recommend using any version of Netscape for optimum viewing.

Our maps are organized by a variety of topics. Click on the topic(s) you want to explore, and you will receive a more specific directory of what we have available. Then, click on the map topic and you will automatically load the map into your browser. You can then save the image (in GIF format) to your hard drive or to a floppy disk. To work with these maps, you can either work directly with them in GIF format, or convert them to PICT format (which we recommend) and import them to a painting program. All of these maps, except the Virginia and Montana sets, were created with Clarisworks 4.0 or Aldus Superpaint.

You will have to reduce United States black and white maps to 80% before printing, and United States color maps to 90%. World Maps need to be printed at horizontal orientation (sideways), or will not fit on the page. All other maps should be printed at 100%. Other than that, everything here is free and ready to use!

Good luck mapping and thanks for stopping by!
