向量動力學

為了要知到物體如何運動,我們有:
純量(Scalar): 只有大小(magnitude),例如:質量(mass),體積(volumn),長度(length),
速率(speed),時間(time),溫度(temperature)。
向量(vector): 具有大小(magnitude)及方向(direction),例如:移位(displacement),
速度(velocity),加速度(acceleration),力(force),面積(area)。

當研究物體如何運動時, 向量必須以下方法用到:
1) To describe an object's resultant magnitude and direction of motion by the component vectors acting on it.

example:

R is made up of the horizontal and vertical components Rx and Ry.

  The horizontal and vertical components of R
2) To determine an object's resultant motion by adding up (or subtracting) the component of its movement.
example:

Vectors can be added or subtracted 

Rx and Ry components produce a resultant movement R.
