almost 150 churches have been declared National monuments.
These are San fransisco in Castro, Rilan, Dalcahue, Nercón, Vilupulli, Quinchao, Quilquico, Chonchi and Achao. These churches complety made of wood, preserve the original jesuit missionary style. These are some of the few samples of these type of churches that still survive in Chiloé since 1700. |
