These chileanisms are not generaly use in all Chile, but in a small island, fammous for it's over 50 different types of potatoes: round ones, oval ones, green ones, blue ones, yellow ones, and many more. These words are not entirely related to this vegetable, but are usefull none the less. They consist of the traditional words, derived form the ancient languajes spoken on the island before the spanish conquest. The island is called Chiloé, though you perhaps have already read about it in earlier pages.
