Masters of Photography
This web site is an extensive list of master photographers and examples of their work. There are not only pictures, but there are also extensive articles on each of the 28 artists. A must see if you want to see information on modern photographers and their work.
Gallery of Photography
This web site features internationally renowned and Irish photographers in its exhibit section. There is also a photography bookstore on the site. The rest of the web site is essentially commercial and advertises being a member of the gallery.
The Curtis Collection
This web site contains extensive collections of Copper Photogravure Plates. These plates were used in the 1900’s to make single color reprints of famous photographs. This is a commercial site, but there is a gallery and information on this interesting part of American Photographic History.

A nice page with a superb set of slide shows. Also some good points under his information about SLR and digital effects. It could use a little more color but overall is a good site.
Ricoh Camera Homepage
This is the Ricoh Camera corporate site. It is a nice site, but is more interested in selling cameras than offering help. Their 35 MM web site is a little nicer and more helpful but still is more worried about selling cameras than helping beginners
Pentax Homepage
Here again is another corporate homepage. It is very helpful if you own a Pentax SLR camera but otherwise is essentially worthless. No picture gallery or advice on improving your photography.
Boston Photographer Stan Rowin
A nice site advertising the photographer Stan Rowin. He has some nice portfolios and a creative montor trouble shooter. If you want to see some nice pictures or figure out why pretty pictures don't look so stunning on your monitor try this site.
Christine Morgan
This is a nice homepage without advertisements. Just a page made by an avid photographer. This site is not a page devoted to SLR photography but has some interesting information about Pinhole photography, Black and White photography, and Toy photography. No pictures though.
Nikon SLP pictorial history
This page is devoted to the history of Nikon SLR's. There are the camera "Family Trees" and some info about them. Again, this is a corporate web site so don't expect an unbiased view of the cameras , but still a nice site.
Housing - The SLR's way Beneath the Waves
This page is excellent. There is a portfolio and information about underwater photography. I found it very informative and laid out very well.
British Army Picture Library
This is a gallery of over 15,000 photographs of the British Army. You need to register to get on the site but it is worth it if you have family who joined in the British army or you are just interested.
British Gallery of Photographic Expression
This gallery contains six modern artists including Antonio Blanco and Takeshi Moriya. Each artist has a page that contains quotes, a short history of the artist and a link to the excitation with one photo.
Cycloid Fathom Gallery
This gallery collects a variety of mostly Black and white photographs and displays them in the online rooms. There are many interesting photographs in this site but they seem a little hard to get at. Overall, this web site seems like a good visit because of the interesting way the photographs are laid out together.
DD Gallery
This gallery presents four Swedish photographers and their works. The galleries contain only about four pictures, but there are also quotes and essays from the artists. Interesting if you like to see what life in Sweeden is like from the eyes of these photographers.
F-64
This web site is commercial and sells the works of four artists. The artists have galleries that you may look through, but there is no information on the photographs themselves. A nice site if you are interested in these artists, but otherwise it has a limited collection of photographs.
Gabriel Gallery
This Gallery contains biographies, and selected photographs from five artists. The biographies are thorough, but the pictorial section needs more photos. Overall, there is more value in the literature of this site than in the photographs themselves.
Galerie Virtuelle
This is a web site of French photographers in French. It may be a little difficult for the English speaker to find the gallery, but once you do, the photographs speak for themselves. There are two pages of photographers and each one has a mini gallery and a way to contact the photographer.
Harry Palmer Gallery
This gallery contains the works of Harry Palmer, a Canadian photographer. There are four topics of pictures including prairies, and even abstract art. There is a gallery, but this is a commercial site.
Images of Brazil
This site features the works of Mario Luiz and has a large gallery of most of his work. There is a short biography on him and his photos may be purchased.
Lavoie, Dawn
This is an interesting of photographers of Canadian wildlife. There is a gallery of wildlife and there is a separate page of butterflies and wild flowers. A very peaceful page of serene photography.
Machu Picchu Gallery
Here Is Presented the Magnificent Machu Picchu, In Peru, With Photos Taken in 1986. There Are 37 Images depicting the ancient city of Machu Picchu.

PhotoAlert.Com displays many photographs taken by both amateur and professional photographers from around the world in eight Galleries. All the Galleries have themes, which go with the photographs. This site is commercial in nature, but the galleries are still worth visiting.
PhotoArt' Gallery
This web site is in French, but most English speakers can find their way through it. It contains a gallery of several French photographers and many examples of their works. There is also information of each of the artists but this too is in French. A good site if you understand French, otherwise it is just good to look at the pictures.
Photocollect Virtual Photography Gallery
This gallery contains the works of BRÄSSAÏ. There is a current display and an archive of older displays. The photographs are for sale and so this is a commercial site, but is still a good visit.
Photografica
This web site has photographs of the war in Iraq. The exhibits change monthly with new artists from different places and with different tastes of photography.
PhotoStore
This site contains an online store with galleries of American photographs. These galleries contain photos from the space race, Mars, and even golf. Although this is a commercial site, it is still worth the visit even if you don’t purchase the prints.
Point Gallery
This is a small gallery that contains six main galleries. The galleries range from sunsets to vehicles and seascapes. This is a commercial web site but still is worth the visit to see the galleries.
Premiere Stock & Fine Art
This web site contains a large collection of wildlife photographs. There are many separate galleries like underwater photography and Red Foxes. There are also free downloadable screen savers for most of the categories. This web site is commercial, but it is worth the visit if you like peaceful nature prints.
Project: quantum sufficit
This is a small gallery of mostly seascape and lighthouse prints. There is information on the prints and they are for sale.
SJL Images & Galleries
This gallery has a pictorial expression of the Central Californian Coast. There is a relatively small gallery, but the photographs are beautiful. There is also a section where you can learn about the artist.
Third Eye PhotoWork Collection
This collection of photographs is rotated on a monthly basis. There is a section about the photographers and a small gallery. The site specializes in preserving both traditional and alternate forms of photography such as photo montages, manipulated images, conceptually based-works, and computer generated images.
