I would like to use my Canon AE-1 camera to take photos of our high school football games for the local newspaper. I am a complete beginner. I have had the camera for approx. 15 years. It is in excellent condition except for the leather case. I have a Canon 50mm 1:1.4 lens, a Canon 28mm 1:2.8 lens and a Vivitar 75-205mm 1:3.8 Zoom plus a Canon 2X Multiplyer. Now, my question. Would someone out there help me with suggested film speed, lens opening, shutter speed, etc. for football photos, at night under the lights from the sideline. I am just intersted in some clear, action photos of the game. I also have a flash unit but the plays usually occur beyond the flash distance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
