: I am a beginner with a cannon T50 camera. I want to start taking wildlife pictures and I want to know what would be a good zoom lens to purchase.

I love my Sigma 70-300mm but have fouund it lacking when I want to really get out there and get wildlife. At a minimum get at least a 300mm with a 2x extender. If you have the funds go ahead and get a 500mm and a 1.4x or 2x.
