Thanks for the advice. I've been a photography nut since I finally got ahold of my camera!! This is the most wonderful form of expression short of the written word (my first passion)!

: The best book to read is your camera manual and lots & lots & lots of practise. Also, when your out take your camera...when you have not got it with you go through the thought processes of taking a pic in your head...from composition to positioning to metering to exposure..

: The best book I ever read was by Andreas Feininger called The Complete Photographer (revised edition)and published by Thames & Hudson. Its a little dated now (no talk of all things digital) but its well written and taught me more about photography than any other book.
