I am very happy with the Pentax ZX-50. I found the ease of use and extreme quick focussing features very handy. Also, it has most of the features you would expect in an SLR camera. At $350 it comes with a 28-80mm zoom and very well supports the Sigma and Vivitar line of telephoto lenses which are good for a starter. Also, Pentax has probabaly the best warranty and aftercare services amongst all the SLR names. Definately great value for your money.
