well i'd definitely recommend sticking with the manufacturers lenses if u can afford that
having said that, i picked up a very nice second party 28mm OM fit lens for under £20
try before u buy really

well a full length telephoto is more versatile as mirror lenses do not have an adjustable aperture
it all depends if size is important to you...if u can carry and support a telephoto then it's a better lens, but if u need portability then a mirror lens is worth looking into
