activities
Main Activity

Project Name: SkyWatch
Mission: (This is an extracurricular activity) Students may, separately or in groups, observe the sky after dark. This activity works best away from city lights. They will need to observe and name more than 5 constellations. They may also, if possible, use binoculars or a telescope to better observe the stars. Before this activity is to take place, students should study the part of the sky they plan to observe in our planetarium.

Alternate Activities

1)
Investigate how constellations are used by
     people to navigate by sea.
2) Visit our poll to learn about the constellations,
and vote for your favorite one.
3) Share your art with the world and submit it to
     our gallery.
4) Have students write their own myths about how
the constellations came to be. They can then
submit their myths to our gallery
