The Solar System: Uranus

Uranus

Uranus, the seventh planet from the sun, is a very mysterious planet. It has very faint rings, and the only other planet besides Saturn that has rings. There are nine major rings, with many more that are very faint. The rings are composed of rocks, ice, and dust. There are 15 satellites (moons) orbiting, the five largest being Ariel, Umbriel, Oberon, Titania, and Miranda.
The sun hardly affects Uranus- it has a chilly temperature of -328° F. Saturn was found only by chance inn 1781 by the British astronomer Sir William Herschel.
