The Solar System: Saturn

Saturn

Saturn, the sixth planet from the sun, has large, unique rings, that give it a distinctive look. Saturn's clouds can't be seen in as much detail as Jupiter's, because there is a layer of foggy haze surrounding Saturn. Saturn is 840 million miles away from the sun, so Saturn's temperature is only a mere -274° F. About three times every 100 years, violent storms rock the normally calm surface of Saturn, creating a spotty effect.
