  • Visual Encyclopedia of Science (published by Kingfisher)- this book is a very good resource that contains every subject to do with space and stars packed into this site, and the many sub-sites located here.

  • Peterson First Guide to Astronomy- this book has information about observing the different parts of the sky, star maps, and tips on how to properly identify different planets, stars, and constellations.

  • Voyage Through The Universe (Stars) (published by Time-Life)- This book is filled with interesting information and wonderful pictures and diagrams that really add to the book. It is recommended for anyone to read, and is very easy to understand.
Web sites:
  • NASA- this site is the mother of all space sites. There is a wealth of information about every subject to do with space and stars packed into this site, and the many sub-sites located here.

  • Stephen Hawking's Universe (PBS)- this site contains all of the "weird stuff explained," and other information about stars, the universe, and the unknown.

  • Windows to the Universe (U. of Michigan)- many resources, and information about all parts of the universe, this is a recommended site for anyone.

  • The Peoria Astronomical Organization- this site contains information on the constellations, and has star maps, and many more resources for the amateur astronomer, or person interested in the stars.

  • Corel ClipArt Gallery- this is where we found some of the non-picture (meaning it doesn't look like a photograph) images. Most of them, though, we made ourselves.
