Last year, Diamond Multimedia Inc was hit with a lawsuit stating that the newly released Diamond Rio player which, is a portable MP3 player, would allow people to distribute high quality music freely thus cheating artists and recording companies out of money.

Microsoft and AOL battle it out over who will dominate the Instant Messaging area. With the release of Microsoft’s MSN Messenger, Microsoft has tried to establish itself in an area where it has no presence. However, AOL does not want any competition in a market where it has total control.
