| Cathy Bronsdon, USA I am currently a Learning Support teacher at Upper Perkiomen High School. Ihave been interested in technology since 1984, when I received a degree inInstructional Systems with an emphasis on computers in education from PennState University. I became involved with ThinkQuest in February of 1998 whenI heard about the contest at a workshop for teachers. In 1998, my daughter,Nicki and another girl from Norway created a website for TQ called The GlobalGazette (http://library.advanced.org/18802/). We made it to the finals andwere able to meet in person for the first time in Los Angeles. It was agreat experience and a lot of fun. While in LA, Nicki and I talked about theidea of a scuba diving site, since Nicki had recently taken up diving and Iam a certified diver as well. This year I have also worked on a website forThinkQuest for Tomorrow's Teachers called CARES(http://dev99.advanced.org/50017). I am married and have three children, Ali(15), Scott (11) and Todd (7) and I look forward to working on web projectswith them in the future! |   | ![]() |
|   | ![]() |   | Antony O'Sullivan, UK - 21 (again) I am trained as a Computer Studies teacher and have been working inBishop's Stortford UK for the last 8 years. AlthoughI am a teacher, the majority of my work is involvedwith the running of the school networks and maintainingits website (http://www.tbshs.demon.co.uk). When I was approached for ThinkQuest I was amazed at theamount of work that everyone has to do, as well as the levelof communication needed by all concerned. I have enjoyedseeing this all come together. It is nice to be talking to others in the world, if notin person then at least virtually. |   |
