Here you will find information on everything from the evolution of the ship through the ages to the workings of modern surface skimmers. How 3S is Organized
3S is organized into four sections (see below), each with four subsections. These can be reached using the navigation bar above. Each subsection will have a table of contents to the left of the page, indicating the topics of a subsection. You may always click on the 3S logo above to return here.

 History - A history of ocean-going vessels from ancient times to today. Walk through time as humanity travels the oceans in rafts, frigates, steamboat, and oceanliner. |
 Function - The uses of different vessels and the regulations regarding their use. Also has a section on modern shipping. |
 How They Work - How these mighty ships work and are navigated. Different forms of propulsion from sail to the paddle and energy sources from steam to nuclear fission. Also includes hydrofoils, hovercraft, and submarines. |
 Miscellaneous - 3S discussion forum, 3S interactive, a VRML model of the Nimitz aircraft carrier, and a photo archive of ships through history. |
