Mission Briefing for
Operation Event Horizon

Event HorizonWe will launch a satellite probe toward a black hole which will continue to transmit information to us until it reaches the event horizon (represented by the red spherical frame). Once the probe reaches the event horizon, it will no longer be able to transmit or send information to us, although it will still be able to receive information. From the information sent back to us we will reconstruct a virtual journey into the black hole. Once inside the horizon however, the computer can only create an estimated scenario as to what happens.

You will be outfitted with the latest prototype biofeedback suit. You experience everything as if you had actually dropped into the black hole yourself. Because this is a simulation, we can program you into a singularity (which means you do not obey the normal laws of physics). Even if your virtual body is destroyed, you will continue to experience the fall into the singularity. Although we know that nothing will happen to your actual body, we cannot make any guarantees as to what will happen to your mind. Good luck.
