The Myth page does infact confirm that outside observers view the falling person drastically slowing down, or "freezing." The person falling in will infact not see a the blueshifted "end of world" unless his lightspeed fall is magically halted in the horizon (while maintaining that relative time frame) thus allowing the light from the "end of the world" to catch up with him and reach his eyes.
